Rita and her brother Gary must clear their parents' home of furniture and boxes of collectibles before they can sell it. Since their mother's sad passing 15 years ago, dad Maurice has developed dementia and now requires care. The urgent sale of the house and its contents is crucial if they are to provide him with the help he desperately needs. Auctioneer Izzie Balmer not only makes some incredible finds but also uncovers the remarkable family history behind them. As a younger man, Maurice was a respected, top-level football referee and built up a huge collection of items related to the sport, while Rita and Gary's mum was a fan of motorbike racing, collecting autographs and photos of the famous and most handsome riders of the day. Izzie also discovers some valuable jigsaws and a jewellery box full of gold. A battered 1960s sideboard proves to be a challenge for restorer Saf Fakir. In a brave move, he uses a hot iron on its wooden top, reviving it back to its former glory. And four dining chairs need reupholstering, but can the work be done in time?
