Charlie Ross finds out what Japanese Samurai armour is made of - in Devon! At the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter, he speaks to Jacqui Carey, who researches historic textiles to learn about the elaborate braiding used to create the ancient armour. By studying items in the museum's collection, she is able to recreate the intricate interlacing of the braid. In a village just outside Exeter, two teams prepare to do battle in an antiques centre, guided by their experts, Philip Serrell and Tim Weeks. Looking for something quirky in glass or silver are friends Doreen and Joanna. They're up again couple Darren and Lindsay, who are after 'quality'. The reds' first stop is a set of enamelled cufflinks decorated with a golfer, but with no hallmarks, the team decide to "putt" them back. Meanwhile, Tim uses his long arms to pick out an anatomical model of the human ear. Lindsay guesses it was used for acupuncture, but Darren doesn't get the "point" of it. With the shopping over, the teams journey north to the village of Box, near Bath, where auctioneer Andy Stowe tries his best to hammer out a profit for them in his sale.
